Static PPC banners

PPC ads don't have to be just text; they can also be image-based (banners). These ads are a cornerstone of digital marketing because they are consistent and grab your audience's attention right away. Just as you can choose whether to run your PPC campaigns on Google or Seznam, with banner advertising, you also choose between Google Ads and Sklik. 

Most common Google Ads banner sizes

Google Ads offers a wide range of banner sizes that you can use. 

Desktop

  • Large rectangle: 336 x 280 px
  • Half page: 300 x 600 px
  • Medium rectangle: 300 x 250 px
  • Leaderboard: 728 x 90 px
  • Banner: 468 × 60 px
  • Half banner: 234 x 60 px
  • Vertical banner: 120 x 240 px
  • Column: 120 x 600 px
  • Billboard: 970 x 250 px
  • Square: 250 x 250 px
  • Small square: 200 x 200 px

Supported file types include JPEG, JPG, PNG, HTML5, and GIF. For all of these, the total size of a single image must be less than 150 kB.

Responsive ads

Responsive ads consist of several key elements:

  • Text: Usually includes a headline, description, and a call to action.

Responsive banner dimensions

Rectangle 

  • aspect ratio should be 1.91:1
  • minimum size 600 × 314
  • recommended size is 1200 × 628
  • maximum file size is 1 MB

Square 

  • aspect ratio should be 1:1
  • minimum size 300 × 300
  • recommended size is 1200 × 1200
  • maximum file size is 1 MB

Images should contain a maximum of 20% text
